System Operation:
A PIR (Passive Infrared) system monitors heat signatures to trigger the locking hardware without the need for physical contact.
- Door normally closed and locked by electromagnetic lock.
- Door released on exterior side by keypad.
- Door released on interior side by PIR Passive Infrared Detector. (Most buildings codes require 2 means of exited a door with a Mag Lock)
- A delayed action pushbutton shall be provided for redundant egress release.
- Door released remotely by fire alarm or by loss of power
Operations Summary
