The Hager 4501-FR is UL Listed for Fire Exit Hardware and suitable for use on doors rated for up to 3 hours. Because fire code requires doors to remain "positive-latching" to act as a fire barrier, this device does not include mechanical dogging. It features a surface-mounted, stainless steel Pullman-type latchbolt with a 3/4" throw, ensuring a consistent and secure engagement with the strike every time the door closes.
