The Rockwood FP1230 is a "must-have" for post-pandemic facility upgrades. For the most secure installation on hollow metal or high-traffic wood doors, the included thru bolts are essential. They provide a permanent, "sandwich-style" grip through the door that prevents the hardware from loosening or pulling out over time due to the leverage applied by foot operation.

Installation Note: We recommend mounting the FP1230 approximately 1/8" to 1/4" from the bottom of the door. This ensures it is low enough for easy toe access while maintaining enough clearance to prevent the hardware from dragging on the floor or catching on high-pile commercial mats.
