The Sargent 351 UO Door Closer is the premier choice for high-traffic, institutional applications that demand the absolute highest level of durability and control. This "one-box" solution features the UO Universal Arm, allowing for Regular, Top Jamb, or Parallel Arm mounting configurations right out of the box.
Constructed from a heavy-duty, one-piece die-cast aluminum silicon alloy (with 14% silicon content), the 351 body offers superior strength and corrosion resistance. Its heat-treated full closed rack and pinion mechanism provides total control from a full open position. With adjustable spring power from Size 1 to 6, this closer easily accommodates everything from lightweight interior doors to heavy exterior perimeters while remaining fully ADA compliant.

- Tamper-Resistant Valves: Low-sensitivity brass valves regulate closing speed, latching speed, and backcheck. All valves are adjusted with an 1/8" Allen wrench and are captivated to prevent accidental removal or vandalism.
- Extreme Temperature Fluid: Includes all-weather hydraulic fluid that ensures the closer functions perfectly in extreme heat or cold without the need for seasonal adjustments.
- Forged Steel Arms: The heavy-duty forged steel arms are finely finished and interchangeable with Sargent 1431 and 281 series closers for maximum facility standardization.
- MicroShield® Technology: Available with an optional antimicrobial silver-based coating that permanently suppresses the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew.

Professional Installation & Compatibility
The Sargent 351 UO is designed for easy installation with self-sticking templates and a wide array of fasteners, including machine screws, self-tapping screws, and wood screws. For doors where maximum security is required, it is recommended to use Sargent thru bolts to ensure a rock-solid attachment to the door leaf.
