The Rockwood 486 is the professional’s "problem solver" for utility spaces. Because of its 2-5/8" height, it provides a substantial lever arm; therefore, for the most permanent installation in concrete or stone, we recommend upgrading to lead expansion anchors if the door is exceptionally heavy or equipped with a high-tension closer. This ensures the base remains rock-solid under repeated high-force impacts.

Installation Note: Position the stop so the rubber bumper makes contact with the bottom rail of the door, rather than the middle of a thin panel. This prevents flexing and ensures the door's structural integrity is maintained over thousands of cycles.
