Exit Devices

More commonly known as, "Push Bars," these devices allow for immediate egress, or exit, from a building.

Depending on the door application, single or double door(s), dictates which type to be used:

Single Doors:

  • Mortise Devices
  • Concealed Vertical Rod

Double Doors:

  • Rim Devices w/ a Mullion or a Double Door Strike
  • Surface Vertical Rod Devices
  • Concealed Vertical Rod Devices

It is important to note if the door is Fire-Rated or not. Fire-Rated Devices are made differently from Non-Rated Devices, as well as, Fire-Rated Devices can NOT be "Dogged Down," or the latch held in.
